Community Art

Art is a beautiful, effective, and enjoyable way to build community and connect.  Paper Lili enjoys working with others in creating opportunities to effectively build community through art experiences.  Below is an example of a community art project that happened in winter 2022.

An example of community art with Paper Lili

International Women's Day (IWD) - March 8th, 2022
In recognition of this very important day Paper Lili has facilitated a community art project on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.  Community members where invited to create a piece on a small canvas in response to the 2022 IWD theme 'Break The Bias'.   The main intention of the project was to bring community together to engage in a fun creative activity during a time when we were feeling so far apart because of COVID-19 restrictions.  The interest and engagement from community members in response to the project was overwhelming and heartwarming.  There were over 130 canvases on display at the Lunenburg School of the Arts.

The exhibit was a reflection of community and the beautiful things that can happen when we all work together.
